Obedience Training

Obedience training is the most important thing you'll do for your dog - other than their vaccinations of course. Dogs can be the joy of your life if trained properly. Your dog then knows the rules and lives within these boundaries. You can truly share your life with this dog because you can take it to places and events that are dog friendly. As a dog owner, you will actually look forward to finding activities that you can do together.

On the other hand, you can also have a dog that barks, is absolutely no fun to take for a walk or even worse - can become aggressive with people or other dogs. These dogs generally aren't broke or "bull headed" as we hear so often. Dogs such as these simply don't know the rules. Their owners think that their dogs should just know what to do and act correctly. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Obedience training is a commitment that takes time and effort. There is no magic wand and you have to be consistent with each interaction with your dog. Pampered Pooch has two training programs available for our clients. These include Doggie Day Camp and Group Lessons.

Doggie Day Camp is six weeks of a combination of daycare and training. You drop your furry friend off on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They have time to socialize and have training sessions several times throughout the day. The cost for this is $165.

Group Lessons meet once a week for about an hour. Lessons last for five weeks and cost $135. Schedules vary so please contact us for upcoming classes.
